The class Φ2 inverter is a new switched mode type of resonant inverter. This inverter is applicable for very high frequency application. In this paper, it proposes class Φ2 inverter reduced the voltage stress, and improve the dynamic response. The class E resonant inverter is not suitable for high frequency application, because it produce high voltage stress across the switch. The suitable ball...

In this paper, class DE inverter with second order constant K band-pass filter is proposed. In the proposed inverter, the band-pass filter is used instead of the resonant filter in class DE inverter presented at the previous papers. By using band-pass filter, two important results can be gotten. One is the sensitivity of the output voltage to the operating frequency is suppressed by using band-...

A soft-switching inverter topology (the Class Φ) is presented which draws dc source current through a transmission line or a lumped-network approximation of a distributed line. By aligning the inverter switching frequency just below the line’s λ/4-wave resonance, the Class Φ topology enforces oddand even-harmonic content in its drain voltage and input current, respectively. The symmetrizing act...

This paper presents a capacitive power transfer (CPT) system using a Class-E resonant inverter. A Class-E resonant inverter is chosen because of its ability to perform DC-to-AC inversion efficiently while significantly reducing switching losses. The proposed CPT system consists of an efficient Class-E resonant inverter and capacitive coupling formed by two flat rectangular transmitter and recei...

Single-switch inverters such as the conventional class E inverter are often highly load sensitive, and maintain zero-voltage switching over only a narrow range of load resistances. This paper introduces a design methodology that enables rapid synthesis of class E and related single-switch inverters that maintain ZVS operation over a wide range of resistive loads. We treat the design of ClassE i...

The paper presents the theoretical background, computer model, laboratory measurements and SPICE simulation results of a 323 W, 1 MHz Class E inverter operating with an efficiency of 97%. The inverter is built around a CoolMOS transistor from Infineon Technologies. The transistor belongs to a new generation of high quality, optimized for low conduction losses and high speed switching power MOSF...

In this paper, we present the analytical expression of phase-controlled class-D inverter at any duty ratio. By considering the body-diode of MOSFET effects and harmonic components of resonant current, analytical expression of phase-controlled class-D inverter at any phase shift and any duty ratio can be obtained. The validity of the analytical expression was confirmed by PSpice simulation.

This paper proposes a unique topology of Class D series resonant inverter with output power control schemes for Induction Heating (IH) application. The main aim of this work is to reduce the steady state error so as to get better performance for induction heating applications under varying load conditions. The power control strategy allows the class D series resonant inverter to operate nearly ...

The design of a generalized phase-controlled class E inverter is presented. This design takes into account most of the important parameters which a ect the inverter performance. Moreover, we calculate the design values which achieve zero voltage switching continuously when phase-shift of two inverters varies.

This paper proposes an inductive coupled wireless power transfer (WPT) system with class-E2 dc-dc converter along with its design procedure. The proposed WPT system can achieve high power-conversion efficiency at high frequencies because it satisfies the class-E zero-voltage switching and zero-derivative-voltage switching conditions on both the inverter and the rectifier. By using the class-E i...
